I captured these in our garden yesterday as I followed the aphid as it wandered around. I used a Sony A7ii with 2X and 1.4X teleconverters on a Laowa 2X macro lens, and a Venus Optics KX800 twin flash. During the session I mostly used effective apertures around f/90 to f/128.

The raw files were converted using a preset in PhotoLab, followed by image-specific adjustments in Lightroom and output sharpening and noise reduction in DeNoise AI.

These images are taken from a 21 image sequence in this album at Flickr, which contains 1300 pixel high versions of the images.

Who could think that Aphids are horrible creatures when you take such great shots of them with a great BG to make them pop even more.

Thanks Graham. I got really lucky happening on one that was wandering around. It kept on presenting itself at different angles and giving me different backgrounds to work with. It helped that there are some nice coloured leaves that have fallen and which the Gardener hasn't instructed me to clear up yet. :)
