- Thanks Wez - I wasn't too sure because the feather colours look reddish/purplish to me - is it a juv perhaps

The reason I say Willow Warbler is because, when I was differentiating my WW from a Chiffchaff, I learned that the telltale signs are:
Longer yellow eye stripe
Paler legs
Less of a slope on the head
Skinnier bird
To me, it looks as though it exhibits all of these.
It could be a young bird but it also looks like it was pretty harsh light?
