That's a great set of photos, how does the image appear positive in the developing tray?

I hope I was paying attention, is it because the glass is painted black on one side? :) or does that just improve the clarity... hmm

I suppose that's not the answer, a negative would be inverted - skin black.

love this thread - and the whole "story" - from the camera, posing, the ground-glass shot while composing/focusing right through to the plate at the end of the line.
 
That’s a great post Dan, fantastic to see the process from beginning to end.

Like others have said another reason for buying more kit, time for a wet plate collodion workshop maybe? :D
