Great shot. Had you previously just pressed the shutter to get him/her to look at you? (I find that after a couple of shots they turn round to look in the direction of the camera.)

Thanks again folks. Yes that was the second shot. Like you I often find the first gets there attention then the second can often be the best.

Thanks. Yes there is a Birch wood in the thicket stage behind it & when it goes OOf it just goes to a solid black. It is also good cover for the birds when a Sparrowhawk comes calling.
