Yesterday, we stopped at Bempton Cliffs for an hour to photograph gannets. As I was reviewing my shots over a cup tea in Buckton I found I had managed to set the camera to Jpegs rather than the usual Raw. End result is that more highlights are blown than I am really happy with. But, c'est le vie. Here are the best of them.

Very nice, I think you should make an individual thread for that Swallow in flight, as it's a smashing capture and more people could enjoy it that way?

Had a cracking afternoon/evening over at Bempton yesterday with Dan @drooke
Altered the file size to get more on me card and the jpegs are a tad small but at least the raws should be the usual size
Fulmar, Shag?? but happy to be corrected and Guillemot just catching the glow from the setting sun

Adult starling carrying some food back to the nest in my roof, waiting on the neighbours roof for me to leave. He really hates me being in the garden when he's heading back to the nest.

They fluff up and do appear larger ... could be young blackbird though if really large.

It was about the size of a fat robin, but I think it had chunkier legs. I can see what you mean though, as the feathers look very robin-like now you have said it.

Think the one I saw may have been a blackbird. Lighter legs and a bigger beak, and maybe wider wing feathers too.
