The same happened a couple of years ago, the authorities spent a fortune to repair and strengthen the bridge................. then let a whole load of 44 tonne trucks continually pass over it:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I hope there is an alternative route!
Access to WWT Slimbridge is via a swing-bridge over a canal ... it has got stuck open a couple of times in the past, leaving no possible access from the reserve!

What happened? Mechanical failure?

I think it is the electronics that control the hydraulic rams that lift the road :)

No Roger no alternative this is used as a rat run. Monday will see all the surrounding roads like car parks :(

Love the fact that despite the raised road, barriers down, cones applied, that the temporary traffic lights show green!
