Very nice Mike I reckon the hillside with just the trees and snow would work too

Yes like that and like Alf said the hillside with just the trees would of also made for a good composition with all that snow falling

I like this as is tbh but can see the merits of a 2:1 or so losing the ice pool but you want some of that light snow to give contrast to the scene.

I was going to say the same. It's nice as is, but the top part alone I think is a lot stronger.

Definitely stormy. I like the contrast between the clarity in the foreground and the almost abstract snowstorm.
