Wood Anemone

Well at least you found something alive.
I've been wandering around shooting dead stuff for the past 3 months.
 
Nice capture and details are good... a little more light on background would make it pop more, maybe just a flash.

And/or different processing. My plant images often look quite dark and flat before processing, especially as I underexpose, sometimes quite a lot, to protect highlights. The white petals have come out very well in this image; they are easy to over-expose.

Post processing can make images look very different. Here is a different take on this one. You might or might not like this particular rendition, but I think it shows there is some latitude for adjustment should you be so inclined, the more so if you are starting with a raw file. Exactly where one takes them is of course very much a matter of personal taste.
