Although I have seen this species before I have never had them close enough before to take anything other than a distant record shot ... so another thanks to Phil-D for taking me along to see it

Thanks Daniel, they are almost as difficult as the 'little brown jobs' (small brown 'finches')

It was greatly appreciated Phil and at least we did see the Barn Owl, even if he tricked us

After you left us Friday afternoon, we had another 2 hours looking for the Tawny chicks, nothing!

Another hour and a half at the Barn Owl site Friday evening, nothing, not even a glimpse!!

Then we even went back on Saturday to look for the Tawnys.......and again nothing :banghead::banghead:

........did I mention my owl obsession
