Woodcock

Hi

Managed to get my first ever Woodcock shot today, Ok there were a few twigs in the way but I am quite happy with the shot over all and to an extent adds to the feel just how secretive these birds are and how well hidden they can be.

Well spotted Tim, great capture but the twig running through the beak and down the chest would have to go!

Always nice to get a good look at them, bonus if within camera range!! Difficult bird to get uninterrupted views. TFS

Lovely bird and always a pleasure to see. As a wild image, I dont mind the odd distraction tbh.

Thanks all for the comments, the bird was very well hidden and you could quite easily walk past it.
