X Craft Aberlady Bay

I've always wanted to visit the X Craft Submarines down at Aberlady Bay and despite an unlikely forecast of little cloud and strong winds the spring tide nearly coinciding with sunrise persuaded me. It is around 35 minutes walk but well worth it and you have two subs to choose from. I'll keep my eye on the tides from now on and look for better light than the minute or so of fairly insipid light I got this morning. Hopefully this morning's recce will stand me in good stead for next time. Most compositions were around the large ships in the background to add a bit of new/old and over/under water.

Yep, third for me too. Prefer the tones and composition.

The third is the one for me but the contrast between the wreck and the passing ship is quite good in the last one

I like 1. 2 has a rather white/hot/blown bit of sky. 3. Prefer the lighter feeling of the 1st and last.

Haven't been to this in years, it's a great spot
