yelow dung fly (thanks Alf!) blowing bubbles and cricket

A couple from the garden today. The highlights are a little harsh - I probably should have diffused the light in retrospect. As I was photographing the fly I noticed this droplet of water appearing and disappearing from its mouth. Is it regurgitating? It looks very clear, but the fly wasn't drinking as I watched it. Fascinating to see, anyway!

Emma you could be right or not as it is not known for sure why they do it.

Well done Emma. One of my favourite flies, and blowing a bubble too. I like that. One of the advantages of finding a fly blowing a bubble is that they tend to sit around for a while giving you time to line up nice shots. Very nice cricket shot too.
