You wait for one, then two come along together!

Thanks Paul, they can be very secretive but these regularly come out to clean up seed from some feeders ... mind you they can just as quickly shoot off again. :)

Saw one briefly a few years ago (must have been about 15 YA!!!) on the leat that ran beside Mum and Dad's old house. Got taken off the water by a low flying sparrowhawk!

As you say, uncommon and secretive - good catch!
