Hi all, I was entering my conservatory at the weekend when I caught my eye on what I thought was a small (10mm diameter) seed head caught in some web beside the window. I attempted to flick it off with my finger when it exploded into a mass of tiny spiders which I assume are the young ones. I immediately went to get my camera and mounted my Canon 50mm FD macro onto my Panasonic and took some shots. Whilst shooting, and over the next 30 mins or so, they reassembled themselves into a ball and I think I saw signs of them committing cannibalism. Next day they had completely disappeared. I am not big into Macro photography so apologies for the quality.
