Apparently, it's a rebadged Haking MW 35S. Not a lot on the net about that, either, apart from the

unfortunately they're the sites i'd already seen :crying: but thanks for looking anyway :)

Sadly no pictures yet, but got a polaroid 550 back and 8 packs of fuji FP100c 45 in the post yesterday. I was a bit worried about the holder being a bit too fat for my Deardorff but it works a treat (y)

Hooray for LF instant prints :D

My latest acquisitions, firstly my charity shop beast, the Dynax 9 made complete with the addition of the Minolta 50mm 1.7 thanks to Simon

And an Agfa Isolette II, my first foray into folding cameras, not the most sought-after of the Isolette lens/shutter combinations but it was a reasonable price on ebay and after spending the day cleaning the shutter mechanism I'm looking forward to trying it.

RaglanSurf, A very good buy re the Dynax 9. Was it you a couple of weeks back, who was asking re the 9, as there was one for sale in a local charity shop ? The posting said it was in a west London charity shop. Myself and others were pushing you to go and get it, and if you were not considering it, then to publicise where the shop was. If I remember rightly, there had been lenses with the camera, but some rotter had been in earlier, bought the the lenses and left the camera. If you cannot work out how to use the Dynax 9, - PM me amd I will look after it.!!!!

Aye, that was me, didn't want to post til I'd got a lens I could put on it.

It's one hell of a beast, even with the little 50mm on the front it weighs more than 1.8kg  I'm also considering keeping it by the bed, just in case of burglars

I'm really looking forward to giving it a go.

Finally found a camera in a charity shop! well its nowt to get excited about really but its one of the Original Dianas from the 60's. Plus it was only a fiver!

A fiver! The Lomo brigade on Ebay would love that. A plastic camera with 60's pedigree the holy grail of the fan of blurryfuzzyphotoness.

That's the main use for my Nikon F2  you can also apparently put something called 'film' through it, but it all sounds a bit outdated for my liking... :wacky:

Received this morning, a Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm f3.5 OM mount zoom. Tidy condition, glass is clear and the zoom is smooth if a little stiff at the long end.

VivS1-70-210-35.jpg

I thought it'd be a lighter-weight alternative to my Tokina 80-200mm f2.8 when out and about but the Tokina weighs in at 1092g and the S1 at 965g so they're not too different after all.

Still, it feeds my burgeoning Series 1 habit and it's a Kino/Kiron build so not bad for £33.50 delivered :D

I've got one exactly like that in M42 mount, the first generation Series 1 70 - 210mm manufactured by Kiron. Its a great lens as it has fantastic optical quality, a great 1:2 macro option which will go to 1:1 with a slight extension tube and it has just the right sort of range for what I tend to shoot. Mine ended up costing me £65 though as I couldn't find on in Britain in M42 mount and had to import from the US, where import taxes ended up adding on another £15.

Try getting the matched lens hood for it, it helps keep down flare drastically as the multicoating is unfortunately not as good as todays. They usually appear on ebay for £5 or so every so often.

Thanks for that :)

A quick check on the bay brings up 3 hoods right now, from £8.99 to £14.99 + P&P, so I know what I'm getting next!

After spending all evening deliberating I've finally entered the world of the 50mm f1.4 - by purchasing a Ricoh XR1000S with one attached. From the samples I've seen, there's some seriosuly wacky Bokeh coming my way!

I will replace with a nice SMC K one when I can afford to, the Rikenon was only £40 with the camera attached so no great loss. An SMC A 1.7 costs more than that.

After a clearout of the uni darkroom, i have acquired a Durst negative drier which is currently in pieces as i clean the dust out of it, a Zenit E with Industar 50-2 f3.5 and a Fontron 200mm f4.5 adaptall lens :D

This arrived this morning

The Zenit Photosniper

Take that out in London and the police will shoot you first and ask questions later... Nice toy, sadly, wrong times for it. :(

Okay, so i have a problem with buying things at the moment, but the first step is admitting it right? I'm not sure i'm ready for step 2 just yet though

A Kodak Portrait Hawkeye Star, the shutter actually works on this, the viewfinder is alittle dull though to say the least!

a Coronet Xcel, not working so i might have a crack at getting it open to see whats wrong

A Canon AF35ML, lovely camera with nice fast glass. Got it cheap because the film speed wouldn't change. Turns out the release button is very stiff :)

Andy, the ISCO is a very good lens, very good IQ, I think you will like it.

I blame Liam!!!

IMAG0025.jpg

My 'new' 1950 Pacemaker Speed Graphic. short of a lens, lens board and the clips to hold it on, Handstrap and a few other little odds and sods. Needs a damn good service and the focal plane shutter is very slow.

Once I have it working something like, I'll strip it all down and re-finish the casing and clean up all the metal parts. might see if I have tome to make up a lens board and bodge the 90mm Schneider Angulon I have here on it. I bought the 90mm for my Cambo 4X5 but I need a recessed lens board for it to focus to infinity... This is my solution to needing a recessed lens board :)

Don't let Liam hear you say "Bodge!"

That looks like a very interesting and worthwhile project. (y)

A few months age the wife's Canon A80 died so she knicked my A710is.Walked past Wilkinsons in Carlisle today and there was a mint Canon S45 at 30 quid so I now have a "Keep in the car" compact again.Oh it has a 4 gig Fuji cf card in it as well

So what film does it use exactly?

Seems like they're almost rocking horse poo, but I finally found a hood for my FDn 24mm f/2.8 that wasn't nearly the same price I paid for the lens itself (though that was a decent buy).
