A couple of waterdrop collisions

All shot manually with a canon 550d and 60mm macro lens on homemade rig. a single flash is fired at a white backdrop to one side at 1/16th. camera settings are usually F11, 1/200th and iso 100.

All excellent shots mate. Number 2 nails it for me.
How did you do this? Colouring I mean. Did you colour after or is it red dye you're using?

thanks mate, number one and two are quite strange i think because of the amount of rinse aid i used, too much!

the base water is blue with rinse aid, the droplet water is red with loads of rinse aid.

i use a homemade rig and technique very similar to ashmashmash's..

I always found "loads" was disadvantageous personally! I found about 1-2 drops per litre best, again personally, doesn't mean I am right.

Pretty impressive stuff. Number 2 for me is the winner by a long way but they are all very cool. Much better than I've been able to create.

It's was accidental, but I thought I would just see what would happen anyway! Your guide is the best iv found ash!

The Canon 100mm is L is as sharp as they come so I'm told from a friend that has two 7D cameras around his neck and one of them has permanently attached the 100L.
