    Critique Nissan GTR Shoot

My only criticism would be that the reflections of the concrete in the very shiny bodywork actually has the effect of making the car look dirty (unless you look very closely!)

Critique Lotus Festival, Brands Hatch (Very late)

How would you recommend getting them less central (if that's not too stupid a question). Obviously the focus point is currently set central, would you recommend offsetting that, or simply cropping the images?

Video - B2 Landing at Fairford

Apologies, no pictures with my decent camera, as that was at home, we purely happened on this by chance! The first arrived just as we did, but the second gave me enough time to get my phone out and record it. It actually had 2 runs in, the first was an aborted landing.

What flash for circa £100 (new or S/H)

Well, yes, hence asking here first!

What flash for circa £100 (new or S/H)

To be honest, I don't know, I was talking to a friend of mine the other day, and he suggested I should get one with ETTL, but I'm not sure what the advantages of that are. Apparently it lets the flash and the camera communicate light levels?

What flash for circa £100 (new or S/H)

I mainly do car photography, but also a bit of portrait and product photography, if that helps?

What flash for circa £100 (new or S/H)

I currently don't have a flash (other than the built in flash on the camera), and would rather like one. So, assuming the budget is around £100, and I'm not fussed about whether its new or second hand or not, what would you recommend to go along with a Canon 40D?

Honda Integra DC2 - Curborough Sprint Course

Personally, I'd have liked to have seen more motion blur on the wheels/background, etc on the action shots, but that's just me.

    VW Polo

I think the location is fine (better than endless pictures of modified cars in industrial estates), its just the sky that lets them down. Sadly, its usually going to be the case this time of the year though. I'd use a polarizing filter to cut down on the reflections further though, again...

    Lightpainting **Location Reshoot**

    1. I'm too drawn to how scratched the boot entry protector thing is, with a light right next to it. 2,3 and 4. The background is too bright, I realise you are trying to only highlight certain parts of the car, but the background shouldn't be brighter than the non lit parts of the car, or it...

    VX220 - Light Painted

Like it. The only thing I'd say would be to remove the soft top, as the spars make the light look uneven.

    VX220 Sunset

Really nice shot, could have possibly been improved by using a polarizing filter, but otherwise, can't fault it.

Brands Hatch Lotus Festival - Experimenting with ND Filters

Indeed they do! The NDx8 was getting down to 1/30th of a second. Which was probably a bit slow.... I bought them as my Sigma 300mm F4 is an old lens, and will only do F4 as they won't change the chip any more. Still, it was very cheap....

Brands Hatch Lotus Festival - Experimenting with ND Filters

Didn't take many pictures this year, as Saturday was a complete washout, so these are all from Druids. Decided to play around with the NDx4 and NDx8 filters I had just bought for my Sigma 300mm F4, and here's the results. 1 IMG_5960 by apretext, on Flickr 2 IMG_6037 by apretext, on Flickr 3...
