I split the food back up onto the two boards I used previously and placed them about 15' apart, he's still trying to keep it all for himself but losing the battle:) Might add my one loves banana he scoff's it down like there's no tomorrow!

    Bl**dy Fieldfare

Last few days I've been going heavy on the bird food as the grounds covered in snow, I started off with a couple of sheets of ply laid on the snow but the wind just blew the food off, it either disappeared beneath surrounding snow or just gone in the wind. I brought my builders spot thing in...

    Skull I.D. please

Another oddity we came across walking the dogs along the coastline, I think it's a skull but the jaws seem to open from side to side:thinking: Not sure if it's a bird fish or mammal, first pic is for scale [dogs a Northern Inuit and I take size 12;)] Pic's taken on a phone so not up to...

Cheers, though not really photography:naughty: I don't think the beach where it washed up is MOD but could be wrong, I know further up is because they have warning flags when it's safe to use the beach or not. We've been here just over a year now and it's never been not safe to use the...

:eek::eek: That's brilliant mate and you've probably 100% right as it was washed up on the shore between Theddlethorpe and Donna Nook though not that far up, I'm just new here and don't know many of the little villages by name yet. I believe most of the coast along near where we live...

Cheers for the reply and I was doubting WW2, the aluminium's in great shape and generally it seemed to clean. Guess it was the way the pieces were joined and the colour, wonder what it is then?

Hi all I often find things washed up on the beach when walking the dog's usually old bones and shells etc, today I've found what I can only guess is part of a second world war plane:help: The aircraft part if that's what it is measures 37" long and has S/N 0047 RR painted on the inside...

    Fishy carcass for I.D.

Thanks for replying peeps  Lucci I did wonder that as the teeth sort of look similar to dolphin/whales teeth when I've seen them on TV. Just not seen anything like it before, did find a shark bitten Tuna on a beach near Ryde harbour a few years back. That was huge!

    Fishy carcass for I.D.

Walking the dog along a deserted beach near Threddlethorpe Linc's and came across this carcass being picked clean by crows and gulls. My first thoughts before getting to close was a seal pup but when reaching it the teeth looked wrong, more like what you see with the porpoise family. Carcass...

    I.D. please

Yet another of my long range not so hot shots but a bird I'm unfamiliar with, it is fieldfare/redwing size and was alone in the middle of a field. Different views show it has a crest on it's head and going through the only book I have it looks like a Skylark? or one of the Pipits, a positive...
