    Sea Battle, South Wales

Cheers! Thanks! Thankyou! The second is definitely more dynamic, perhaps the first more fluid. Cheers Simon. Shows the difference type of images you can make from a single location. Thanks! lol. You don't have to choose :) You can like them both ;) Hi Duncan -...

    Sea Battle, South Wales

Don't think I've posted a photograph on here for over a year, lots has happened, but here are a couple of images from Porthcawl, South Wales. Shot on two different occasions, different times of the day, but about 10 metres away from each other. Hope you enjoy. Cheers, Neil

    HDR - Marmite time

You have lightroom right? Just a suggestion, experiment with LR first, settings, tweaks, crops etc before heading down the HDR route. You'll be surprised what you can ekk out of a RAW image.

    Ogmore Beach

There is always a first time. The leaves I reckon are about a week away from full autumnal bloom, it's been quite windy, so a few of the early trees will have shed, but believe you me, plenty left :) Did you park at Pontneddfechan or elsewhere?

    Phew and YAY!

"Neil!" ;) Sorry for not being around much, busy summer. Yeah, I wouldn't present any other way, surprised that a few sem to think digital works? With prints you control everything. Glad to see Llyn made it in. Hopefully more of the same this year!

    The Aurora Borealis, Tromso, Norway

Cheers All. @Kennysarmy, of Course, somebody asked earlier and I rudely forgot to post the detail. Shot on a 5D2, with a 17-40, The ISO range varied from 800 to 1600, at f4. Shot on a good tripod with a shutter release cable. Exposure ranged from 10 to 30 seconds, for the last shot probably...

    waterfalls

Simon, I really think you've tried to squeeze a little too much out of these. I can appreciate what everyone is saying around HDR, certainly has that sort of feel. If you combine a saturation increase with a lack of contrast and a large splashing of fill light it's probably pushing it a tad...

    The Aurora Borealis, Tromso, Norway

Thanks for all your kind comments. As I said earlier if you ever get the chance to go, please do it. You won't regret a single minute. I even took a tour (not by choice) of a number of remote Norwegian Airports to get home, but still kept smiling!

    The Aurora Borealis, Tromso, Norway

Cheers! I'll be returning next year also, the Lofoten Islands is a 6 hour drive from Tromso, so not doable this time. But I've seen so many photographs of the place I just have to see it myself. Cheers Drew. Enjoy Iceland. Another place I must visit, to be honest I've fallen for Norway big...
