That's so kool. I wish I could study like that and also have the willpower to finish it!

    BAPH BA Honours Degree

Yeah, I know what it's like. I rent a warehouse and have been doing self assessments for years. I've also got experience with VAT. I know a business takes time and effort to build up and nothing happens without marketing. I haven't decided if I want to do a business, I might do a part time job...

    BAPH BA Honours Degree

I have been in business (not related to photography) since 2012 and have experience with family businesses prior to that. I'm really looking to improve my photography skills so I feel confident. I can learn easily from multiple sources but I think a course would push me to do things out of...

    BAPH BA Honours Degree

Hello Has anyone studied with British Academy of Photography? They have different home study courses from diploma through to degree and wondered if anyone has any experience with them? Their degree is accredited by University of Chester. I know it's not necessary to have a degree to practice...

    Critique Baby candid portrait

I have a backdrop/stand but it's all in storage. I was just practicing candid/lifestyle shots. I'll have a look at what on offer, thanks.

    Critique Baby candid portrait

Thank you for the feedback. It is a window but I think it's showing the trees outside? I know I hate the background, it is distracting. It's a pop-up ball pit tent and there was also a long red outline on the left (which I removed). It's a bit hard being in a small room full of toys and him...

    Feeling lost

I'm not measuring my success exactly. I'd rather use my passion/skills to do something that is useful and allow myself to be creative outside of my business (which can get quite stressful). Just having it as a hobby would be too expensive so I can offset it by doing some occasional work. I'll...

    Tripod for portraits

Thank you everyone for the replies. I'll take a look at some suggestions and hopefully get a chance to see the classifieds soon. I probably won't be using it much as I'm quite stable holding the camera but I might try taking school photos and thought it will help.

    Tripod for portraits

I was hoping there would be a good one in the beginner/starting range. I've seen photographers recommend ones that are around £300+ and my camera isn't worth that much (excl. lens) :D Sorry I did search but I only found posts on travel tripods. I'll have a look again. Thanks!

    Tripod for portraits

Hello I wondered if anyone had recommendations for a good tripod. It's difficult to filter out the good ones apart from the price. I'd like to use it for portraits. I don't need top of the range and don't want to spend a lot of money.

    Feeling lost

I don't really have much in my house and we just moved to a new place so I made sure I got rid of literally everything that I don't need. A life detox lol maybe.. I think my mind is all over the place and trying to do too many things. I guess I lack focus and I should probably narrow it down...

    Feeling lost

I wouldn't rely on photography, but just to use my creative skills to do something that will help increase our savings. My family have always said to stick to what I'm doing and to grow that further and I want to but I feel like its not satisfying/fulfilling my creative side or maybe I just get...
