Ian hi - it's a long, long time since I've been on TP :) Glad to see you're still posting :)

Hehe - Nicely done! I like it :)

    The spirit of Snowdonia

That is damn clever! Very good!

    Castlerigg Barn at Sunset

I like this...but...the road on the left of the image leads my eye away from the barn (?) and rightmost mountain range which I feel should share centre stage. I appreciate the rainbow might be lost in a crop but I think, for me, it'd be worth it :). Great pano though despite my whinge :)

    Is this forum over moderated?

In answer to the question posed in the title of this thread: "No". Way back when I was privileged and honoured to be a Mod on here. Trust me there is a crap load of stuff that goes on in the TP staff room, to the ultimate benefit of all users of this place, of which 99% is never seen (and...

    Solitude

Serene. First word that came to mind. A lovely shot. It could have been cropped with or without the 'real' sun. Would have worked either way for me - gorgeous.

    Male Portraits (mono)

Two fantastic portraits. Great characters, great light, great textures and superb B&W. Love them both!

St Johns in the Vale (now with added birds)

That has the wow factor I must say - lovely shot - I might have been inclined to crop off a slice of the dark cloud out the top to balance to move the cloud's lower edge of the centre line but thats a minor, minor tweak that doesn't detract from the 'lowness' of the original :) Pardon me for...

Looking at it again, and I thought this first time round, the close and out of focus foliage to the left adds a lot to the shot for me - hard to put into words but it's as if I'm there sneaking an illicit view hoping not to be spotted....ok that sounds weird...I said it was hard to put into words :)

I'm no wildlife or bird photographer but I really like this shot. The framing and depth of field plus the turned head and great focus make it a cracking shot for me. All the elements work!

    A few days in Somerset

Really nice set - particularly like the pair of swans, the starlings and owl and Glastonbury Tor. Oh and the cormorant :) Great variety. Great shots!

    Snipe up close

Works for me too - a lovely study and just right in the frame in my humble opinion :)

    Little Langdale, Blea Tarn

Lovely shot, great composition and, as said, a slightly different take on this location. Good stuff :)

    Tree & Wall

Loving the composition, that leading line of the wall from the left works for me. Great light too.

    Lakes cloud inversion

Phenomenal shots - all three totally beautiful - well done :)
