Bulbs arrived today, what a great company Bowens are to deal with!

I've just spoke to Bowens, they were extremely helpful! They are going to send me a couple of bulbs to replace. Thanks for your help above and thanks for the links for future reference.

Perfect, thank you for the link. I'm going to phone Bowens shortly and see what they say. The bulbs were inside sandwich bags so I get the feeling this must happen quite often.

Perfect, thanks for the info. I'm going to speak to Bowens tomorrow and see if they can send out a replacement as I bought it directly from them. The bulbs dont seem to costly and I'll definitely look into the more common wattage as suggested.

I'll definitely be doing that, it's just for future reference really. This is my first studio set so learning at the moment.

Hi all, Not sure if this is in the correct section, apologies if not. I bought a Bowens 400rx studio kit from the Photography show on Saturday and it was delivered today. Upon unpacking, I've notice one of the modeling bulbs is smashed. On the box it states is an Osram Ceram Eco 64404 3000k...

Bought a Bowens 400rx studio kit with 2 soft boxes, just got to wait for it to be delivered and then the learning begins.....again! Got 10% off retail prices so made a saving which was good.

Thanks for the reply, I'm going tomorrow so will see if I end up bringing something back with me. Looks like the bank account might be getting a hammering.

Are the discounts any good at this show? Looking at getting myself the Bowens 400rx studio kit.

I was parked up on Dungeon Lane, not a bad spot for the incoming planes, can't really see them taking off though. I've edited the ils out of the photograph. I don't really know how to use Photoshop so it's not the greates of edits. DSC_4482-Edit by Edd103, on Flickr

Fantastic shot, really sharp. I'm loving the trail off the wing and the haze from the back! Where are people going to get pictures of these planes? Really want to go and see these.
