The camera and lens turned up a couple of days ago, and both were near mint condition. The lens works ok and doesn't seem to have any aperture problems.
I've decided to inflict a couple of my snapshots on you all to show what the pictures are like from it.
Instead of just telling me to do a search, I remember him answering a couple of questions for me which I later realised I could have found out with a bit of digging around on here.
Thanks Chris.

When I was a kid, the school organised when we had to go in for our photos, not the photographer. He just photographed whoever he was presented with.
Why did the school segregate the kids for two different photos, or was it just bad organising?
Thanks for your reply, Richard.
I had a look and the one I ordered is the non PD, so I'll see how it goes. Never had any problems with used gear from WEX before, so fingers crossed.
Thanks again for your trouble.
Cheers
Garry
Hello, could you explain PD and non PD please?
I ordered a J3 and 10-30 from Wex today and then saw this thread, so I'm a bit worried about the lens now! Hoping I get a good 'un when it arrives in a couple of days.
Thanks a lot.
A cheaper refurbed ex business mini might be an option.
I bought one from Amazon:

If I buy 2nd hand, I always download a fresh copy of windows from Microsoft, and install it myself.
Glad I clicked on this thread, PPP is a couple of miles away from me.
Got some old colour films which I don't fancy developing myself.
Wonder if they need a 62 year old apprentice!
Dunno if it means anything, but the spots have consistent spacing.
Spots 1 and 2 are half the distance of spots 2 and 3.
Do you have a scan of the negatives as a strip showing more than one individual frame?
Only ever watched one Northrop video. They think it's a good idea that Sony plan to sell cameras, then charge extra to have different features activated on them. They just came across as Sony salesmen and put me off watching them again.
I must have got lucky with my Leica IIIa from ebay. It was 300 quid with an Elmar 3.5 and it's in excellent condition, with only 2 millimetre's worth of brassing near the rewind knob.
Looking on a Leica dealer's website, I'd have paid at least twice as much for a body and lens in similar...
Is that cheaper than the going rate considering it's sold as seen, and no returns if you actually take it out of the plastic bag to look at it?
Plus it hasn't had any excercise for nearly 30 years?
All my digital gear is Nikon, which I'm pleased with. I bought Nikon as I already had a couple of lenses from film days.
The only regret I have is last week I bought an ultrawide 12-24 zoom which I haven't taken to at all. If the shop doesn't have it back, I'll stick it on ebay.
