A foam pad or plastic bag should do the job

Warm and waterproof clothing and something to sit / lie on, phone, midge net and insect repellent (west coast of Scotland and Highlands), chocolate and car keys.

The Gulf Stream keeps the water warmer on the west coast. It is more the air temperature and howling winds that keep the beaches uncrowded.

If you think the weather is too bad to sunbathe there, you should come north of the border. We have some of the best beaches in the world, but they are mainly empty due to the climate. White sand and turquoise water don’t seem to tempt the tourists and long may it stay that way

Weight of camera gear has never been a problem for me. My heaviest lens is just over 3kg and I hand hold that or use a monopod.

There is also a normal leopard leaping from a huge height onto prey in Planet Earth III. Truly stunning.

I have used Topaz Denoise and Photo AI, but now mainly use LR Denoise. I agree that Topaz files can get huge
