Yet they are probably all on Facebook complaining about plastic straws, cotton buds etc. I saw someone drop their rubbish out of their car in McDonald's car park. They were about 4m from a bin.

They had similar recycling vending machines at my local Tesco years ago. It was regularly out of order and eventually they went back to normal bins.

I occasionally find them dried out on our floor in the morning. We have underfloor heating.

I like the occasional fillet tower burger and the fact I can't get one is making me want one more. No plans to call the police though.

So far so good. We picked up the 3 ex-battery hens on Sunday and they've gradually been gaining their confidence every day. We've had 3 eggs now. I now have grand plans for a walk in enclosure. The eglu is great but the long narrow run is a bit of a pain to access. Photos will follow.

First one arrived today with her free Eglu. She happily scratched around the bark area, nibbled on some weeds and then put herself to bed.

I'll use tent pegs. I am hoping to move it around the barked area as I struggle to weed it as the weeds there are so stubborn.

The eglu itself is foxproof. The reason we are waiting for the solo hen is that the fox proofing needs dug out as it has been in the ground for several years. I am thinking of the areas they will have access to during the day. I know foxes are generally out overnight but I have occasionally...

Can't quite believe a stranger is giving me one for free. She is refusing to take any money as long as I take the old chicken and give her company.

I have been offered a free eglu on the condition that we take someone's last remaining chicken too so hopefully picking that up this week. It has fox proofing.
