I think it was this time last year in Norfolk at Holm Dunes I got a couple of Spoonbill shots but it was blazing hot and the heat haze crippled the detail. Well I'm here again and it's blazing hot again. Fortunately this one got just close enough to overcome the haze. We were just driving back...
It's a pretty poor picture but it always amazes me how the reed warbler never twigs that the cuckoo is not it's real offspring...

Thanks to @sureshot (y) I managed to get some shots of the Juv Cuckoo tonight, light was dire and this one was under heavy vegetation. The rest were into a bright featureless sky so not worth posting.

I've been away too long again.. :oops: :$
Tried and failed to get some short eared owls yesterday so had to make do with Kestrel and Buzzard. Then I popped to Kemerton Lakes and enjoyed the views from their new hide.
