Anyone wiling to cast a critical eye?

Evening people, just a smallish set from an event I was at this afternoon. They've had some light fettling in Elements 10, nothing more than some levels, sharpening and a crop or two. I've got rid of over 2/3's of the pictures, which I understand is normal, you don't go out to get 300+ truely...

Nice exposure. I'd have cropped the bottom 1/3 & right hand side, just as the sand to the left doesn't really do it for me. I'd have The Shard as a point in the shot, off to the right of the shot for the rule of thirds. I like it though!

The essence is there. You mention about the two exposures being either too light or too dark, that's the point with an HDR photo. You're taking the dark points and highlights from one scene, along with the standard exposure and merging all 3 (3 exposures is the minimum for an HDR.) If you...

Nice shots Stewart. Nice and central well captured. I would say that you should go get other viewpoints and test yourself to improve your panning. Would say that the 1st shot is my favourite, is it a crop?
