I have a G3 at the moment and that can do plenty of bokeh with the right lens.. if i was switching it would be to a fixed lens.

you could always buy from somewhere that does returns.. amazon? if it doesn't perform as you expect send it back. I would say an underperforming product is within your consumer rights to be returnable. please check first though..

With regards to your opening post.. as someone who balked at the charges of the wedding photographer 10 years ago I now understand the sheer amount of work involved and would never do so again. Well done for helping out and bringing your skill to the party.
