Cheers Jake for taking the time to reply, I hadn't realised I had pushed the reds that far, I will have another go at processing, just trying to get my head round lightroom. the dog one sorry to say the dogs close to the right on the original so no chance of creating space.

these are my first go at using grad filters on the camera and the longer exposures required show me I need a better tripod.

Hi Jeff, nice set of shots.
number one really catches my eye but I would crop out the sky as I think it strengthens the composition.
I have tried shots like this but mine don't seem to come out well at all.
the carriage is in a really bad way it may be leaning but it may not either.
I would have loved to get a bit closer but had the family with me and didn't fancy dragging them up the lines as the train only stopped here for a few mins. its a place to go back to as the railway was originally from...
