Laowa Magic Shift Converter - anyone use it?

I'm considering buying the Laowa Magic Shift Converter for use with a fully manual Samyang 14mm f2.8 (Nikon F mount lens on a Z7II). Does anyone have any experience of this Laowa/Samyang combination? If so can you give me some guidance/information please as to what I might expect by way of...

Focus Shift D850 - New Folder

Many thanks. Makes sense, but wouldn't you think the programming would revert to the previous folder once the Focus Shift had completed. Nothing I've seen on YouTube mentions manually changing the folder back after FS. But at least now I have a solution. Thanks again.

Focus Shift D850 - New Folder

Using Focus Shift in Live View I chose to select the option to start a new folder as I thought this would make the focus shifted images easier to find. But it seems that all subsequent images (not focus shifted) are then stored in that same folder. Am I doing something wrong? I appreciate...

    X-Rite Colorchecker - deleting profiles

Thanks Dave. I might try contacting Adobe and see again if I can find an email address for X-Rite.

    X-Rite Colorchecker - deleting profiles

Possibly a daft question but here goes ... If I create a profile and apply it on import to photos (in Lightroom) and then later delete that profile, is its effect removed from the processed images?

    First time star trails

I'm planning my first attempt and have been reading up and watching YouTube videos, but there's one thing I remain a little puzzed about. Using Star Stax there's the option of including a dark frame. Is is necessary or advisable to process/sync that dark frame as with all other photos taken...

    Nikon D850 - Owners Thread

Well, it's been a while but at least I've given my two Ex Pro EN-EL15 equivalent batteries a fair (but non-scientific) test. It's my opinion that they are comparable with the EN-EL15 but perhaps not quite so good as EN-EL15a, but certainly worth the money.

    Nikon D850 - Owners Thread

Thanks to all. I've taken the plunge and ordered the Ex Pro battery. Once I've used it for a while I'll check back here and let you know how it performs

    Nikon D850 - Owners Thread

Thanks Bob, that's very helpful. The page I found https://www.xrite.com/windows10 when deciphered seems to suggest that: * - Expected pending validation with final OS release.

Color Checker Passport & Windows 10

Having just acquired a new and more capable computer, complete with Windows 10, and being now inclined to buy the Color Checker Passport, I have tried to ascertain if the C C P is currently fully compatible. Can anyone here kindly confirm whether or not it is? The information on the X Rite...

    PSE11 - "Error Deleting Media"

I am using PSE11 with Windows 7 Home Premium. All has been (reasonably) well until yesterday when one NEF file and the jpg created from it couldn't be deleted in PSE11. In the Windows Explorer it showed a padlocked icon, but following advice found elsewhere on the Adobe forum I changed the...
