Focus Shift D850 - New Folder

Using Focus Shift in Live View I chose to select the option to start a new folder as I thought this would make the focus shifted images easier to find. But it seems that all subsequent images (not focus shifted) are then stored in that same folder. Am I doing something wrong?

I appreciate that the easy way round this is not to use a new folder but merely to shoot my hand before and after the set, but still I'm puzzed at the folder issue.

It sounds to me like you've just told the camera to start saving images in the new folder, and it will contrinue to do that until it either runs out of space or you tell it something different.

Many thanks. Makes sense, but wouldn't you think the programming would revert to the previous folder once the Focus Shift had completed. Nothing I've seen on YouTube mentions manually changing the folder back after FS. But at least now I have a solution. Thanks again.
