    Rainbow Goal

When you know your lens isn't just quite wide enough. This little beauty appeared for just a moment on one of those, rainy but sunny afternoons, just as the opening goal was scored.

Table Tennis - 2017 National Championships

Wow, really in there and up close. Are you able to take a free role and shoot wherever at this event? Or in table tennis in general. Certainly beats the behind the barriers limitations of most sports.

    Tackles in the Rain

To be fair, as robust as it was, both players got up, and got on with it. The ref had whistle to mouth, but I think after seeing the players just get on with things, he decided to let it go. Very refreshing to see, and at this level of football, not uncommon, players and ref all being men!!

    Tackles in the Rain

When the rain is heavy during the game, you know that eventually someone is going to give it the full blooded sliding tackle. I didn't have to wait too long. A shame the ball had left the frame by this stage, it was probably in the hedge before these guys landed!

    Payment from newspapers

Please!!! Don't be a Freebie Photographer, as that reputation will stick, and you'll never be taken seriously. If you're doing work for a newspaper, local or national, then there is value to your work. Value is money. You will need to be paid for your work. Offer them a Price per picture, or a...

    Early start Duathlon

I thought I'd share this from a recent Duathlon event deep in the Shropshire countryside. It's been classed as the UK toughest Duathlon event, and named Storm the Fort. The guys here are running over the old fort near Clun named The Bury Ditches A stunning place to be just after 8:30am on a...

    Ground Homework Preperation

Your final point is just that.Luck! There really is no predicting who will do what, when and where. I've gone from weeks of seeing backs and numbers run away from me after scoring, to being a goal cele magnet! No rhyme or reason. Also, most grounds I've been to, Prem-Non League, it is a case of...

    Where are you this weekend???

The Banks's Stadium for Walsall v Barnsley. My last two outings there have been very soggy ones! Planning to arrive early, to get a seat in the media room for the Spus v Arsenal game, before hand. Have you ever been whalloped by a stray hockey ball Dan? Those things move at quite a pace, and...

    Valuable Lesson Learned

I had a very similar experience. Ref pulled out a red car after a hefty challenge. As the player & ref exchanged words, I was looking right down the lens. In a split second the player had grabbed the ref around the throat, and shoved hom to the ground. My finger was nowhere near the shutter...

    More Basketball

looks like there are a couple of different games there. Real good action there Rob, which in my mind is what it's all about. Slight variations when PP doesn't come into it. 1 & 6 are my fav's.

    Advice please

:agree: Regarding what Box Brownie has advised. I couldn't agree more with this. Building relationships is a major part of progression. If you are happy to supply images for a club for free (nothing wrong with that if they are your local side, and you want to help promote their activities) but...

    Robin is Boss

It's not usually my thing, but after the wife put out a bird feeder to attract the many, many Blue tits that seem to be frequenting our graden, it soon became apparant that Mr. Robin was having no one on his patch. This little fella spent most of the afternoon seeing off the other birds, between...

    Full stretch - more added

As Lee said, full reflection image from the water would have been a right keeper!

    Non League Football

Decent set of images. No.3 for me, the other's are pretty standard action shots. Nice exposure and focus, although no.7 seems to have picked out the lad with his eyes close, and drifted away from the two tussling for the ball. Good range with the Sigma was it?
