Anyone know a safe site to download photomatix. I know it will have the "photomatix " name over the pics butI want to try it and afraid of viruses.

yes the 568 is about twice the price but have you any idea of the benefits and how do they compare with the SB800

The 70mm sigma is a prime lens and it is awsome, especially for the money. Maybe a D90 would be better than the D5100 in that case but I think it has a motor so should work with the d5100.

The + quality button with the green dot is one of the buttons that dosn't work. I think there may have been a short.

The 50 to 300vr is a fair bit cheaper, ebay around £160. If you can get your hands on a 70mm sigma 2.8 macro you will be amazed, again around £160. I'd say these two would be better use of the money.

The buttons to the left of the screen on my Nikon D80 have stopped working. when pressed the battery icon blinks. The camera still works, autcocuses etc. but I cant preview the screen, get at the menu or iso. Anyone any ideas. I had the lead in to view pictures on the computer. I removed it...

Well if you press live view the mirror clicks open but the shutter count only counts the curtain activations.

I don't think live view effects the shutter releases. A D80 on Ebay with 116,000 shutter releases.

I just seen a D90 on Ebay with a shutter count of 392,762 and thought wow! Does this put to bed the whole shutter count exercise. What is the highest shutter count you've seen on a D90 or similiar.
