    Opinions on new gallery please

That's a good idea. Part of the reason I wanted to update, I haven't touched that gallery in months. I spoke to some friends who got married and they said they automatically discounted any togs who's sites only featured pics of the B+G, I think people want to see they will also get nice shots...

Not so much all things to all people, more appeal to a wider market for enquiries then be able to choose the jobs I want more. You're right though, it's out, well will be when I have updated the page, it's staying as is for a bit while I gather feedback from a couple of places. Sorry this...

Forgot you were on here dude. You wouldn't believe how often your wedding gets referenced when I'm meeting new clients, I even have a wedding next year who want giant balloons now just from seeing you guys on my site!

Thanks Dan :) There is 14 weddings and 6 engagement shoots in there, not everything I have done but my favourites. I mean I guess if I went down to 20 shots I'd only have really great shots but doesn't that feel a little low? The home page slider has about a dozen on it! Ha, I agree, this...

Thanks :) That is something I should maybe think about then. I actually spend most of the wedding shooting documentary style but lots of the best shots I get during the bridal shoot when I am directing them. Most people I meet say they liked the relaxed style of my work so I think I should try...

    Opinions on new gallery please

I'm in the process of updating my site for next year (I'm increasing my prices so figured I should update the site) and have put together a new gallery. I've changed the format to a slideshow rather than a blog style like it was before. It's quite long something like 60 odd images and I've tried...

Lightroom 5.7 now available as a free upgrade

That's a relief, just updated and it didn't screw up my install of Paddy for LR. Would have been most upset if it had. Seems faster, might not even need to use Photo Mechanic now.

    Image reviewing

I use Photo Mechanic which isn't free but is very good. A quick search and I found downloader pro http://www.breezesys.com/Downloader/ never used it so know nothing about it but might be worth a look as it's free

    My first goes at Macro

I'm discovering this! Lots of missed focus shots when stuff is moving about.

    My first goes at Macro

Ok so I tried shooting at f13 (still ambient light, I bumped the iso to 3200) and shot at around 1/200 and got this Which I quite like, the dof is much better but if you zoom in to 100% there is slight motion blur (the leaf was blowing in the wind) obviously I can increase my shutter speed and...

    My first goes at Macro

Ok, much higher than I had thought then. These were shot around f7.1 which I thought was high enough. I'll try working at smaller apertures, thanks :)

    My first goes at Macro

Thanks :) What do you mean ? This is something I found, the dof is so small I couldn't get the whole thing in focus so I went for (what I assume are) it's eyes. I tried ramping the aperture up but that didn't seem to make much difference, it was still working with a tiny dof. Is there...

    My first goes at Macro

My new Canon 100mm 2.8 USM Macro arrived yesterday so I went for a walk in the park to try it out. All these are hand held with ambient light in the park.

    Critique Portrait

I quite like that she is so far over to the left, it's not traditional but I still like it. A bit too much clarify for my tastes though. The second one is out of focus and doesn't do much for me personally.

    Spiderpro Dual holster ...knock off

Has anyone actually tried these with a long lens attached? I am curious as moving the weight of 2 cameras to the hips seems like a really good idea but the length of the 70-200 with the hood attached is quite significant and I'd worry about bashing it on the ground while I was using the other body.
