I went yesterday, and it was well behind last year. At least another week, though more likely 2 before a full flush of colour. They said that a late frost had delayed the flowers.
...I know. Magazine courses. What can I say. But it's a good way to try new things. A bit of fun whilst learning a new technique, and this months was panning.
Thanks. Yes. Most of the time I shot coming out of the bend..so my back to the bridge. though later on I was standing between the bridge and the first right hand bend of Druids. Prefer it there than shooting through the fence.

I am doing the photoanswers bootcamp, and this months module is on panning. So it was the ideal opportunity to get down to Brands for some practice.

...I have the 550d with 100mm macro and it is a good combination. I personally wouldn't go for the 60mm as even with 100mm I often feel the need to get closer.
Thanks for the link 'Just Dave' interesting idea with the falling leaves. I had thought of doing something similar and having the flash on 2nd curtain sync. to freeze that last moment.

Any critique is good. Doesn't have to be on your on efforts to learn something. Obviously if they used your own its nice, but not necessary. The way I see it, this course gives you a new challenge. Something to put your mind to, and to take the time to think more logically about your...
I was wondering if anyone had recieved any comments on their module 1 entries. Obviously there were a lot of photos submitted. However I thought if you got in early you'd get some feedback. Or had I missread that bit....wouldn't be the first time
