Thanks for the comments, Roy I know what you mean about the empty sky but I do like the transition in colour. Viv well spotted I will have a tinker in PS and see if I can make it a little more natural. Cheers Paul

    Saddleworth Moor

Not posted anything for a while. As it was looking at everyone's posts over Christmas that inspired me to finally get out with my camera, thought I should share my favourite from a little outing just after new year. As always comment's and views welcome.

    Would you have stopped?

Ouch.... Although I hadn't pointed it out there were other people stopped but nobody, including the paramedic was at the crashed car. Some where directing you around it and the paramedic was by his car. So as others have pointed out I would probably have been in the way if i did stop. So in...

    Would you have stopped?

What made me think about taking the shot was the amount of debris and destruction from the car spread all over the road. What stopped me doing it was the realisation that someone was in the middle of that mess. Someones son, daughter mother or who ever, there were real people involved. We can...

    Would you have stopped?

One evening this week I had gone out with my camera to try get some "golden hour " shots. On rout I drove past a very bad road traffic accident where a car was upside down into a wall. A paramedic was on scene but i think the driver and any passengers may have still been in the car, given the...

    Does it work?

OK Alf I have changed my settings to allow edits. I did get chance to look at the images on another monitor at work yesterday and I can see what you mean by slightly over saturated. Was strange as the PC i was on had 2 monitors, one looked ok the other over the top. Think I need to invest in...

    Does it work?

This is the colour version, everything in the foreground is in shade which is what mad me mess with the b&w conversion. The second shot is from a little further back which may give a clue to the location but yes it is in the Peaks.

    Does it work?

Thanks for the feedback so far, point taken idlefrog about not asking about the ones that do :) I will post the colour version tonight Macs along with a couple of others so you may be able to identify the location.

    Does it work?

Finally got out for an hour on Sunday, took a few but feel that non really worked as the sun was so bright. I have been playing with this image and can't decide if it works or not. So really appreciate your input, does it or not?

A couple shot in the pub last night

Well I like them !.. They are every day images that we see day in day out, which is why they probably don't hold much interest to most. I think in years to come they will have more appeal but one thing that strikes me is the lack of interaction between the people in the shots. They are all in a...
