Been looking over my Photos and have realised I have no Photos of "That There London"!! So I have decided to change all that and take a trip up to "That there London" this weekend.

I do not know a great deal about central London and exactly where everything is. I am guessing there is not going to be anywhere to park the Bike so was just going to take the train and start of at The Tower of London to see the Poppies... What other places are worth Photographing and does anyone know if there is any kind of Photographers map/route?? Or do most people just wander around looking for things of interest to Shoot? Oh and would it be better to go Sunday or is Saturday ok... busy wise?

Thanks

Jai

I just wandered around when I went, started at the London eye on to the river tour boat that was part of the ticket we bought for the eye and then over to the cenotaph was blisteringly cold when I went but that was towards the end of November last year so wasn't able to go to all the different places I would like to see, good thing is that with a tube ticket you can get on and off and be near most things.

I went in the week so can't comment on weekend visits.

just googled "what to photograph in London" and this site came up and looks good so it may be worth making a plan from this. http://nomadicpursuits.com/top-photo-spots-in-london/

You would do quite well if you cross tower bridge and wander along the south bank to Westminster bridge passing loads of famous landmarks (HMS Belfast, Shard, council building, millennium bridge, Tate modern, skate park, london eye to name a few) then do parliament etc and up to Trafalgar Square via the Cenotaph.

I took a tripod along the south bank with no trouble. If it's a good sunset you will see hundreds along there and on Westminster bridge. It's hard to get a photo without another photographer in it (or init as we say in London).

Off to London today, trip to the Royal Observatory to see the astrophotography exhibition. Also hoping for a ride on the cable car across the Thames and whatever else I have time for.

Born and lived in the east end for forty years so more a case of going home than a trip into the unknown. Changed a bit though so always something new to see. Lord Mayors Show on Saturday with fireworks afterwards, weather looks a bit crap unfortunately
