A Castle in the mist.

There is certain 'something' about the proportions of a Castle which seems just 'right' which a King lacks by looking too heavy because of the larger boiler. Of course it's helped by the shade of green paint and by the copper and brass to add the correct level of visual enhancement. :)

One minor comment, if it were my image I would crop it to removed the horrible modern fencing on the right hand side. After doing that I would have a large print made and hang it on the wall of my sitting room.

That's very very nice ST and I bet you enjoyed taking the shot too :D Well taken :D

Very nice train style capture Toni, liking this pic' very much.

Top shot,Stu. It's got it all. The chilly mistiness of an autumn day, some autumn colouring, plenty of space and crucially, loads of steam. I have some lovely shots of Clun Castle myself but we're experiencing a dearth of steam tours through Gloucestershire these days. Many are routing from Paddington through Wilts then into the SW...some via Bath.
