A chance encounter with a seal

Friends of mine asked me if I wanted to join them for a walk to Winchelsea beach on Thursday. As the weather was glorious and my other half had the night before bemoaned the fact I haven't been out with my camera for a while, I decided to go.

Just as we got to the mouth of the river between Winchelsea and Camber Sands this fella popped up.

They are a bit grainy due to the enlargement, but they are probably good enough to share just on the merit of the subject.
