Well, all I can say is that it was well worth the 600 mile round trip to spend the day at WHF

A fantastic setting, superb access and we had the site to ourselves

What a privilage, to get so close to these amazing cats

Here are just a few shots from the day

Very good series.

Nice set indeed - what lenses did you use? I am going there this weekend and wonder if I really need to take my Sigma 12-300 2.8. What I will have will be my 85mm 1.4 and 150 2.8 (and a 1.4x and 2x TC for the 150) - will I need anything over 210mm?

Thanks

I stuck with my 70-200 2.8 all day. You have to be careful shooting through the wire as the 77mm diameter of the 70-200 was a little obstructive at times.

Most shots are over 120mm so your 150 2.8 plus x1.4 tc should be ideal

Have a good day(y)

Thanks - that's a load of my mind (and back ;)) Especially as if your 77mm was big for the wire mesh - the Siggi is 105mm diameter
