Seriously she's so deep in thought in her favourite chair - penny for her thoughts :)
 
I quite like it ... pity the magazine wasn't dog related ;)
 
Nice shot looks very deep in thought!

In terms of critique, maybe a slightly tighter crop on the right hand side to get rid of what's in the foreground? Also could the window be darkened slightly, looks a little over exposed?

I quite liked the magazine - it's a dog in a people's world, so I liked the idea of a random tech magazine being there.

I lowered the exposure on the window to try to recover some of the view outside, otherwise it looked like she was looking into the light... So, I guess the window was over exposed. Hard not, with shooting indoors and not doing an HDR/bracketed shot...
 
Nice conversion (not normally a fan of B/W). Just 2 minor things though as you asked.
1. You're lamp isn't straight (screwdriver may be needed :) )
2. Is the pillow or something in the bottom right of the frame.

As I said these are very minor niggles, all in all a great shot
 
Awww I think it's lovely.
Is it just me though....or does you lamp look like it's fallen into the corner of the room; almost like it's leaning on the wall.
The pooch though, looks so content.
