A few from this weekend in Keswick

Just back from a lovely weekend in Keswick. Yesterday was snow and rain... today was nicer. What was heartbreaking was the amount of houses with their possessions in the front garden

Hope the area recovers soon, without too much disruption.

Ah thanks - didn't have too much choice! It had started snowing heavily, so I needed my my mate to hold an umbrella over the camera while I got that shot

I like #2 the best- it is such a tranquil scene, carefully composed, full of interesting detail in the bright wintry light, that ancient lane winding through the austere landscape.

I really like the first shot, nice wide angle - was it a pano-stitch?

EDIT: Just saw the description that it is on your Flickr - how images in the end and how big was your TIFF (assuming you stitched and then TIFF of course)?

I like #1, nice pano, snow at top & bottom and a lot of water. Ashness is nice with the snow on Skiddaw too.

@Carlh - I think it was about 15 photos (all taken in portrait format), but very closely overlapping. The .psd is only about 360mb, but the dimensions are 7113 x 4001

thats a biggie !! Bet it took some computer-processing time to do that !

Ah, it wasn't too bad - less than a minute or so... I bought a pretty powerful photo editing PC from Chillblast early last year... and then promptly stopped doing any photography

That makes the place still look very flooded.
That view across the Mary Mount Hotel and Lodore makes the river only just visible.
How is Keswick recovering from the floods?
