Got a voucher for amazon for £50 - hit me with a few suggestions, books/anything at all!

Would like a small bag for my 5D MKII + 50mm lens but I'm thinking I won't find much for that price :)

Redsnapper duo bag, good quality, bigger than it looks and good looking

Thanks Ozei. Think it might be a struggle to get the 5D in there with a couple of lenses unfortunately.

Ah, I thought you only wanted it big enough for the 5DII and one lens (the 50mm). If you want the body & two lenses have a look at the Lowepro Nova series, e.g. the 200AW - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0016J1EIQ/?tag=hydra0b-21&hvadid=10874680149&ref=asc_df_B0016J1EIQ.

If that's no good, Lowepro have a massive range and they're all good (I've got 4 of them ) - see http://products.lowepro.com/catalog/Camera,20.htm.

If you want to talk to a Lowepro stockist Morris Photographic are excellent and will give you advice over the phone - http://www.morrisphoto.co.uk/productslist~categoryid~135~selection~3.html.

...... e.g. the 200AW....

Actually, that Nova might be too big - the 190, 180, 160 etc might work better. Try laying the gear out exactly how you want it (e.g. one lens on, no lens on, body face down or base down, etc) and measuring the perimeter of the space it takes up. That'll give you a pretty good idea of the interior bag size you need.

Sorry about that, I normally just carry the 50mm around with me but have another couple of lenses. So if I could get a decent bag to carry everything that would be nice. The 200AW looks pretty neat, can it be too big?

No, not really - a bag can never be too big capacity-wise but from your 1st post I thought you wanted something very compact (externally).

It's very difficult to gauge the size of these bags without actually seeing them in the flesh. Website pics can be misleading - e.g. I bought a Lowepro Stealth Reporter which turned out to be bigger than it looked on any of the websites - I was quite suprised when I saw it for real. If you're not near a stockist (e.g. Morris) it might be an idea to build a mockup using bits of cardboard and see what you think before you place an order.
