South-East England A trip to Northumberland near Alnwick, any advice on things and places to shoot

Hi, can anyone advise on good places to shoot near Alnwick? We hope to do the puffins and seals.

Any other things that are good to shoot in Northumberland will be good, also thinking about doing some star shots, is there any good places.

Any help will be greatly received.

Where to start!
  • Alnwick Castle & gardens!
  • Bamburgh Castle, Farne Islands
  • Seahouses, Amble; harbour, fishing boats, etc
  • Kielder - dark skies!
  • Lindisfarne
  • Dunstanborough, Craster
  • the Northumberland coast - sand dunes.....
Just to get you started - lots more a little farther afield (Berwick to the north, Whitley Bay, river Tyne & bridges to the south)

Many thanks for the list of items that's really helpful and very much appreciated.

We are intending to do the Farne Islands, as we did go there last year but we had a dog now the dog has passed away we will be able to do the full trip and hopefully I'll get some good photographs.

Was looking to do some night shots of the sky stars back kind anything, wondering whether there is any particular area that people go?

Again many thanks I'm sure we will enjoy the area whatever the weather.
