Visited RSPB Swell Wood and Greylake and a chance meeting with Les325 who had been keeping the hide seat warm :D

At Swell Wood the herons and egrets were fairly well hidden behind twigs and foliage so not the best circumstances for photography unfortunately.

Bit better at Grey Lake and a heron gave us an opportunity to watch it feeding ... get it down son
(Poor processing on the next too - replaced below).

Very nice set Gramps!
That second ones a cracker, closely followed by the JW.

Nice set Roger, must have been great to watch it with the eel, grey lake on my list to visit this summer, tried last year but never got there

Thanks Rob, Swell Wood is only going to get more difficult with more foliage growth on the trees but the main hide in Greylake is very good and there's plenty of good reed-bed all around the area.

Nice shots there Gramps, It was a pleasure to meet you too, let me know when you next plan a visit, we could do Ham Wall

Les ;)

Will do Les and many thanks for letting me benefit from your local knowledge :)
