Add layer mask icon in photoshop

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to ask a really basic question but can anyone point me in the direction of the "Add layer mask icon" in photoshop please as I cant seem to find it, im a bit new to any proper editing gear and am working through a guide in a magazine but frustratingly it does not tell me where this icon is. I have taken a screen shot of what I can currently see.

Bottom right, icon next to "fx" icon that looks like a camera! You'll need to click on layer 1 to enable it to be applied.
