Advice: B&W or Colour

This is another shot of my son and I'm undecided.... They both appeal to me in different ways.

I agree that both appeal in terms of colour/mono, though I think the colour just edges it for me. However, I have to be very honest and say that the very shalow dof doesn't do it for me personally, I would like to see the further eye a bit more in focus.

I do agree a little more depth of field would not go amiss but this is what I was intending to do as it is going to be a part of a set of three images. I will post the other two in a min.
