advice on which lens

hi just want to dabble in macro,within budget im toying with a Canon 100 macro or Sigma 105,are any of these better than the other? or anything else i should consider? thanks in advance.D

Yes the Tamron 90mm is the cheapest option and has a good reputation. Not used it myself.

Had both Canon 100mm lenses and the L version with IS is marginally better, should be though given the price difference.

I can vouch for the Tamron 90 f2.5 - brilliant performance. Not sure about modern build quality, the one I had was heavily built in a metal casing.

I was going to say massively better. The IS alone works wonders at that focal length and the contrast is a lot better with the L. Well worth it.
