Advice with portraits

One of the challenges I have set myself this year is to improve in portrait images, so I practiced a litle earlier this week. These are my favourites out of the bunch. I would really appreaciate any c&c

No 1 looks really nice. Your mother though is posing very broad shouldered. If she had turned towards your daughter and made more of a connection it would help.

Your daughter's chin is a little down meaning her eyes are trying to look up.... Getting the eyes nice and open and bright and sharp makes a big difference.

Watch out for fingers on shoulders!

No2 not sure i like the pose

3 & 4 are pretty much snaps with direct flash - move flash off the camera if you can.
