Yay :D I win :p

Here is a small selection from my roll shot on my Trip. Shot it at 400 as I had just taken out a roll of Tri-X and had forgotten to change the ASA :bonk: From my favourite place in town, St James' Gardens in the shadow of the Cathedral:

Well the weather is carp, so just in case I can't find a convenient day with sunshine I've posted these and it was taken about 1 month ago with Autumn leaves in the water and a pub....hopefully more shots this month will follow...also I think this film is cold in many shots and needs warming up so will try some lenses that might be better e.g. Hexanon.

Here is my effort taken on Sunday evening with a Canon A1, processed by Photo Express.
This is a view over Liverpool Bay from Crosby beach showing Gormley's iron men and the Burbo Bank wind farm in the distance.

One good thing about Vista's muddy colours is that if you are photographing mud, then it's just perfect.

First processing for over 35 years.
Don't have any C41 Chems, so...
..apologies for the lack of variety. I shot them this morning while walking the dog.

Ok I have just received my developed negatives and disc of scanned Agfa Vista images so thought I would post a few!

They were all shot on a Nikon F3HP with either a Tamron 28mm or in the case of one of the images a Tamron 24mm Adaptall 2 lens. I did use a very cheap and nasty ‘Sun’ branded linear polariser. (who remembers these cheap filters and lenses marketed by Sangers Photographic back in the 80’s?)

In the spirit of the challenge the files are straight off the disc, no PP of any description as yet although I do intend tweaking some of them when I get a moment. The developing and scanning was done by AG in Birmingham. I have no facilities at present to scan negs.

Comments welcome but I apologise in advance for my somewhat abstract 'Egglestonian eye' for an image. I did look for some strong colours in what I was shooting with a view to put this Poundland emulsion' to the test.

Here goes!

1.) Leaf near the road- Tamron 24mm

2.)Cycles and leaves (sorry I love bicycles too)- Tamron 28mm

Now I know I wasn't convinced it was a bargain but I have to admit that I have been pleasantly surprised, I still don't think it's grain structure is particularly pleasing but it's handled the autumn colours challenge quite well. I did give it every chance by loading it into a Nikon F100 with a very nice Nikon f1.4 50mm lens attached, and overall it did fine. I would still only use it for testing cameras but at £1 what's not to like?

That 'girl in the crowd' shot's a cracker, great timing.

Some really great shots taken with this film by many people in this group.

I have to say that I really like this emulsion. I know it isn't Ektar or Portra but its colours and grain have grown on me.

Clearly others must feel the same given that there is not a roll to be had in any of the Norwich or Ipswich Poundland stores!

The local stock appears to have been a victim of the success of this challenge!

What will I do when the last of my 19 remaining rolls have gone:(

19?? I'm sitting on 60 up here :D

Although some will clearly be sacrificed come Christmas when I get my devving gear and have to faff around practising loading the reels in the changing bag!

This was taken on a Minolta Dynax I got off ebay using the said film got it put on disk at Tesco cost me £2-98 Im a newbie at this camera taking so Ididnt think this was too bad.

Sorry Janine, your image isn;t showing.

Andy

It no longer being autumn, harrrummphhhhh, I've posted my first Agfa Vista results in a thread of my own. Hummmpppphhhhh! :naughty:

Found this and IMO on this particular subject a more expensive film wouldn't show much difference.
